OUR MISSION

Grace Unlimited exists to help people from all walks of life achieve their God-given goals. We declare that we are not a people that flirt with immorality, but follow after holiness. We endeavor to create an environment in our weekly worship that is conducive for Bible training.
We encourage and help build strong support for believers through counseling, and likewise build confidence through positive relationships.
We purpose to be an exalting Church, an evangelizing Church, and an equipping Church.

OUR CORE VALUES

We are AUTHENTIC
Our posture is non-legalistic based on GRACE, TRUTH and LOVE. The Gospel produces conviction, change and not condemnation.
We are ACCEPTING
People can enter in God’s House just as they are. EVERYONE is welcome: those who struggle, and those who think they are not struggling. NOTE: We are all sinners saved by grace.
We are AFFIRMING
We are about building and empowering people spiritually, mentally, physically, economically and socially.

Pastor Melvin O. Jackson, Sr.

Melvin O’Conner Jackson was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, in Shelby County.  He was reared early in the Baptist faith by devout, God-fearing Christian parents, Louis and Edna Jackson, whose strong Christian values heavily influenced his walk in Christ today.

He completed his former and High School education in Memphis Pubic Schools.  He furthered his education at Memphis State University.  In 1979 he transitioned to Los Angeles, and pursued a career in music.  He soon gave his life to Christ, where upon his conversion, the Lord placed a burden for souls on his heart.  This wonderful change prompted him to attend Life Bible College.  It was in November of 1984, Pastor Jackson and a small group began ministering in parks, prisons and convalescent homes.

On August 3, 1986, he founded a church (then) Believers’ Christian Fellowship whose name changed (2003) to GRACE Unlimited.  His works also consisted of a Men’s and Women’s Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Home, a school, Believers’ Christian Academy (grades K-12), and a radio and prison ministry. To date, greater works are yet to come.

Pastor Mel is also an accomplished songwriter and musician.  Many songs in our praise and worship services have been birthed and written by him. He and Pastor April are happily married for 32 years. Together they pastor at GRACE, along with three of their beautiful children, Britney, Melvin and Chanel, while LaTonya Jackson-McGhee, oldest, resides in Memphis, Tennessee.  He is a proud grandparent of three, Landyn and Kevin Jr., “KJ” (of Memphis), and Aaden of Los Angeles.

Pastor April is an ordained pastor, teacher, a psalmist, a passionate praise and worshiper. A strong exhorter, she walks in the Prophetic in the area of Dreams and Interpretation of dreams. Although Pastor April wears many hats, she has many talents and gifts. She has a tremendous love for writing, drawing and composing. She loves working with children, building their Reading and English development skills. She also answers the call and mandate on her life to build, educate and encourage others in their daily walk with Christ.

Pastor April cherishes family time with her daughters, Ton, Britney, Chanel and her number one Son, Mel Jr. The “J-Squad” is blessed and all serve in ministry at GRACE together. Even more so she adores creating special moments with her three grandsons, Landyn (14) and Kevin “KJ”(2), Memphis, Tennessee, and Aaden (7), Los Angeles.
